Pumpkin Patch 2009

Drew and I are working on starting traditions with our little family. Carsyn was just 3 weeks old last Halloween so we never made it down to the pumpkin patch, in fact I am not even sure that I knew it was Halloween.

This year we got all dressed up in warm sweaters and headed to the pumpkin patch! No one told me that a heat wave had hit so after 3 minutes we were all melting, ready to grab our pumpkin and head home. Drew snapped a few photos of Carsyn and I before we left. There are a few of him as well but they are on another memory card. I am looking forward to continuing on in this tradition next year (but planning a little better for the weather!).

I found the memory card!

I believe this is the last photo before we left. Her face explains the day perfectly!

Katie and Jimmy: Sneak Peek

Katie has been a neighbor for the past two years, but recently her little family moved into San Francisco to be closer to her job. Her little guy Jude is just a month younger than Carsyn so we are definitely sad that they no longer live close. I could not believe how big he was when we met up this weekend! He has been walking since 9 MONTHS!! Busy little guy! We decided to go to Shakespeare Garden which was the perfect setting! We actually got there a bit too early and had to wait for the sun to come up!

Jude just ran all over the place and I ran after him! (a typical day in my life!) He gave me some great expressions! He looks just like his dad! We had a great time and Jude ended the day by eating a huge piece of soil! Oh the life of boys!! That is unknown territory for me!

Mandi: Fall Photos: Sneak Peek!

Mandi and her family drove all the way from L.A. for me to do their photos! Just kidding, but they are from L.A. I did her sisters photos the weekend before and she wanted to add in a family session as well! She is expecting baby boy #2 in December (right Mandi??) Her family was a blast and the boys were willing to try anything I asked (notice dad tossing son in the air). The Fall colors are in full swing so if you have not booked your slot for the Fall DO! I only have about 4 slots left (unless you want to book on a week day).
Enjoy the photos Mandi! Your family is beautiful!

Jill Fall Family Photo Shoot {{Sneak Peek}}

Expression Session!! Sneak Peek

The Marin Art and Garden Center is a lovely place in the Fall for photos! Everything is bursting with color and the weather is perfect! We have also had a lot of rain lately so everything is green!

Lyla and Kylie are two of the sweetest little girls I have ever met! We met up with my little girl a few weeks ago to get to know one another and talk about the big photo day! I instantly felt at home with Cathy and knew we were going to have a blast! The girls loved Carsyn and she loved them! She thinks she is 3 1/2 as well!

Thank you guys for such a fun shoot! Enjoy the sneak peak!!

Garth and Pam: 5 Year Anniversary {Sneak Peak}

Pam and Garth have a unique story. They have been dear friends of mine for over two years now and we have been planning this special day for at least a year and a half. Pam and Garth only have ONE PHOTO of them together on their wedding day. Their photographer simply forgot to get pictures of them together. I seriously wanted to cry when she told me this story. As a photographer I could not wrap my mind around the fact that the photographer did not focus on the bride and groom??? Be careful when choosing your photographers brides! Make sure that you choose someone that reflects you and you know will center the entire day around YOU!

We decided to do their photos on their 5th Anniversary. They wanted to get back into their wedding garb and basically recreate the gorgeous fall day. As Pam told me what she was looking for I knew just the place! The Harvest Inn in St. Helena is an incredibly ravishing hotel/cottage that my husband and I stayed at almost two years ago. They have gorgeous vineyards that get amazing golden light as the sun sets. Pam trusted my judgement and we planned the big day. After being rained out we finally made it happen! The day could not have been more perfect. Pam and Garth are still incredibly in love and you can see it through their photos. When I asked them to kiss in their photos they were like a newly married couple!

I hope you guys enjoy these special photos! I am so glad you finally have photos of the two of you together, even if it is 5 years later.
